About Global Risk Management
Global Risk Management (Bristol) Ltd (GRM) is company affiliated to
the University of Bristol that specialises in conducting research,
analysing geo-political threats from low-probability high impact events
to high-probability low impact events and providing advice and coping
strategies for organisations wishing to send staff abroad to
potentially hostile environments.
GRM's management team has extensive experience in the higher
education, policy formulation and consultancy sectors bringing
together a wide range of expertise for the benefit of clients. Our
core staff and wider contributor base come from a wide variety of
backgrounds, including: business, law, accountancy, the military, law
enforcement, journalism and academia.
GRM has a particular interest and expertise in serving NGO workers
across the globe in understanding and managing risk. Indeed, GRM can
arrange pre-departure training for staff going abroad - to help them
cope better with foreign surroundings and challenges this sometimes
brings.
GRM conducts bespoke geopolitical consultancy for businesses and
individuals travelling to global hot-spots.
GRM has a can-do philosophy - its products and advice are premised on
a desire to make operating in 'dangerous' areas possible and
manageable through careful research and expert analysis.
Who we are
GRMs management team and staff are drawn from a wide range of job
sectors; university research, business, law, accountancy, military,
law enforcement, journalism and government.
All the GRM staff and contributors are experts in the broad field of
geo-political risk and each has functional expertise in particular
countries, regions, organisations or threat.
GRM retains strong links to the University of Bristol and its
internationally recognised research expertise.
